  • 03/29/07--09:37: Norway Calls me... (chan 2067212)

  • That's it.
So far this month I have done in my right foot, got an essay back which hasn't passed, I can't get the books I need to DO the essay thanks to the libary system which never works no matter how many times we tell them it doesn't, I'm still having trouble getting into the con paid list (I sent off the check), I've had to skip meals almost every day and flip knows what else. So I'm out of here. I'm off to Norway for a while and a sleep.

The ironic things is I spent two weeks earlier this year telling the people I live with that I am not Norwegan. Some of them still think my English is brilliant for a forenger.
    So, yes. Enough. I

  • A very Happy Easter to everyone out there! May you receive good chocolate and weather you worship or not, I hope the celebration of Spring and Epona is a happy for you. (Please note: Epona is the Celtic goddess of Spring, hares and horses. Link's horse was named after her.)

I have returned from Alta, Norway! That's north of the Artic Circle and yes, it was ()^%£ freezing. BUT IT WAS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!! I have been beyond the Northan Circle and I have done the following:

The most frightening experience on a plane:
We headed to Norway and arrived in Oslo and then moved on to a place called Alta. Alta is one of the most northan towns

  • 04/22/07--01:35: Quiz and complaining (chan 2067212)

  • Yeah, my life is still a mess. My new computer crashed when I tried to load it with the back up disk of the actual computer program. I haven't had it a week and it's broken! Tech support will fix this or I will unleash my most deadly weapon upon them... they've got one more chance before I go nuts. Let the games begin...
So, what do you do when you're stressed, sad and otherwise fed up? You steal someone else's computer and do a quiz!
    I stole this from :iconGogetaJr:
With the new game so close it seemed right.

  • 04/29/07--03:19: Animal crulety = art. (chan 2067212)

  • Apparently.
I've seen a couple of journal pieces about this. To be honnest I don't really feel if I can watch this particular piece of art and if you like cats then stay away from it as well.
This is the original quote from :iconVentor-Somniorum: journal.

  • 06/02/07--03:49: Gay rights and proof I'm not dead. (chan 2067212)

  • But I am having a massive fight with a group of people who won't do their damn job.
Yeesh. Got chewed out by one of my lectuers because I showed inisiative and ambition by calling up for a job to see if I could get it. Then she got upset because I didn't come to her first. She was in Egypt, out of the country, until May. I, on the other hand, was bairly fifteen minutes away from where I wanted to work and know the area. So yeah, currently sorting out why it was wrong of me to speed things up and cut out the middle man who wasn't around to do the work in the first place.

I had :iconvenuslove: down for a few days and it was great! Lots of f

  • 06/22/07--03:18: Game Industry gone mad... (chan 2067212)

  • My week of hell is over. Thank the planet and everyone in it. Yeesh am I tired. I'd rant about it but to be honnest you don't want to hear it, those who do have already heard it and I've got an essay to do in two weeks flat and I'm almost done with the first.
So cutting the story short, let's move on to something else:

  • 07/13/07--03:12: Warning: Rant Alert (chan 2067212)

  • I have not had a good time lately. It's no ones fault but my own and I understand that but I feel the need to rant and here seems like the best place. You don't have to read this and it might be better if you don't because the contence is a bit boring and rather self centred.
However it explains why I've gone quiet and left DA alone for so long.
    Everyone ready?
    Here we go.

It started after the week of hell. I was working on my essay one evening and decided to take a brake and go and watch some telly. This was around 6:30 in the evening. At the time, thanks to Studient accomidation, I have to leave the building if I wanted to watch any

  • 07/20/07--05:30: Always Look on the Bright side of life (chan 2067212)

  • Now my friends the end is nigh. As I type the last of the bags are packed and I head off into the sunset to spend two weeks sleeping. Two weeks of no internet, TV, games consol, heck we won't even have radio! Well, that's not completely true. We'll have French radio and the appaling reception on some of the English football stations. I think I'd rather have it without the radio.
Anyway, a few things before I head for the boat and sea sick city.
    1. All those heading to Amecon! I'll see you all there with the wonderful costumes which will most likely put my efforts to shame. Dibs on the Dealers Room!

  • 09/20/07--11:08: Stamp Test. Ignore if busy. (chan 2067212)

I'll come up with something funny later. Lessee...

  • 09/25/07--04:20: Tags and worry (chan 2067212)

  • I've never been sure about being tagged. Especailly the 100 questions ones where they ask a load of random questions. I prefure to comment and draw so I avoid these tags much of the time.
Recently I came across this artical and it's encouraged me to think about Tagging and the idea in general.

    http://news.deviantart.com/article/34236/?offset=0#comments

Now, I do have a couple of thoughts on this so feel free to stop reading now if the artical was enough.

Firstly, the writer of the artical is now banned for some reason and they did go a touch overboard on this subject. I am not saying for a minute that it's a bad thing but they didn'

  • 10/06/07--08:37: Question! (chan 2067212)

  • I've been thinking about some stuff and instead of a poll I'd like to ask people's oppinions on this.
Those who know me are probably aware by now that I have my own ideas for a set of comics. Recently I've actually got to the stage of creating a buffer of them. In short, they are almost ready to go. My question is how to post them.
I did consider a domain name but until I can afford it I'm leaving that as a vague thought for the future. However, it is not impossible to have more than one account on DA so I could have this one for art and another one for the comics I do.

As I see it I have three choices.
    1. Create a new account for my c

  • 11/13/07--04:13: Update and anime rant example. (chan 2067212)

  • Hey ho, everyone. I know I keep going to ground but lately I've had my reasons. Good news is I finally got a job and now I'm being offered a better one! It's a start. Not much but a start. The commute is going to be hell though.
Aaaannnyway, me rambling isn't going to happen this time. Mainly because I still need to sort stuff out and don't really have the time.
However I did need to update my journel if only to prove I still live and I came across this.

  • 01/11/08--07:31: 2008? Where the heck did I put 2006? (chan 2067212)

  • Yes, it's time for an update. I have been around but a combo of illness, work and 2007 determened to leave me with a final kick in the teeth left me too busy/tired/depressed to come on DA.

I remember when 2007 started. So much hope and joy. We'd be getting rid of the guy who shoved us into a war no one really wanted, I was looking forward to getting my MA and it looked like it would be a wonderful year of work and progress. I also remember some experts predicting that 2007 would be the luckest year ever thanks to the magical 777 digits involved.

  • 02/11/08--04:00: And now a word from our sponcers: (chan 2067212)

  • So the Superbowl has been and gone. I didn't manage to catch it but I hear it was something else. Can you guess I've got a dozy of a cold and I'm having trouble thinking straight? Yesterday I O.D. on Betty Boop cartoons and ended up with varius Pokemon designs in my head of 1930s pokemon in the Betty Boop style. That was without medication. I'm kind of avoiding medicen for now.

Right now I'm not wishing for a cure but something which can at least allow me to breath! This doesn't mean I like the woozy feeling and the need to eat every twenty minutes but I think I could tolerate it a damn sight more willingly if I was breathing normally! Hav

  • 02/12/08--01:57: AHAHAHAHAH!!!! :D (chan 2067212)

  • Yes, two updates in as many days but in this case I'd say it's okay.
My cold is beginning to clear up, I'm feeling better, the weather is nice and yesterday I came across this which had me giggling for the rest of the day.
Someone found a fanfic of Half Life on Fanfic.net and decided to animate it to a narration. They used Half Life bots and changed none of the spelling or edited the orginal script in any way. You don't need to be a fan or to have seen Half Life to find this funny.
I'm torn between laughing and that part of me which is a writer who is currently weeping over this.

  • 03/12/08--15:55: I have been betrayed by Radio 4 (chan 2067212)

  • Well, maybe not. Bit of a short rant so here we go.

Those in the UK might remember a seiries called Life On Mars. Now, it was a good seiries. The plot line was a little strange but no weirder than some of the other stuff around at the mo. To recap, it focused on a police officer, Sam Tyler who got hit by a car in 2007 and work up in 1973. He doesn't know if he'd dead, in a coma, insane or somehow, he's travelled back in time. The seiries ran for two seasons and is still seen as one of the best things ever made in recent times. On Brit TV anyway.

Now, because of it's popularity some have tried to cash in a bit on this. For example, it's

  • 04/02/08--02:31: The fooling is over (chan 2067212)

  • Thank frick.

I have never been fond of April Fools day. Not sure why. I think it's because I was the kid with no friends for a long time. Perfect target for the nastier tricks.

I know, I know, if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at? But I can make a perfect fool of myself without people trying to trick me.

Now, on to some news. I suppose the biggest thing going on with me right now is jobs. I have an interview today, which is good, and a job choice which I can't make up my mind about. It will mean moving which isn't too much of a problem and living on very little money in an expensive area which is.

    The weird thin

  • 04/14/08--05:51: My scanner broke (chan 2067212)

  • Well, sort of. Now all the pictures look like I made them with sand and grit. In short, not pretty. Still, I do have stuff to update with so I'll get up some of the nicer stuff.

Not a lot going on really. Well, except for this one weird dream thing coming true.

Have you ever heard the old myth that if you have a dream on New Years Eve/Day it will come true? Two years back I had a dream where I was alone in my house and everyone I loved had left me behind and gone off to enjoy themselves without me.

    Cheerful stuff.

So this week my family have gone off to new and exotic locations, leaving me behind.

I'd say this is spooky if i

  • 04/25/08--11:30: Where did the fun go?! (chan 2067212)

  • And by that, I mean summer movies. The warmer weather is upon us which for most means sun, fun and trips out. For Brits it means a warmer kind of rain. (There's a reason why we go for tanning salons here.)

So, we all go to the movies! The excitement! The drama! The adventure! Ah, it reminds me of when I was still in school and every summer you'd have kiddie movies to go to with your friends. Not any more it seems.

Does anyone else read Total Film or things like that? Recently I received their Summer Movie review disk. I watched it and to be honest, I was not impressed. It's not Total Film; it's what Hollywood is putting out! Every other

  • 05/10/08--07:48: One week (chan 2067212)

  • Until I start my new job and become yet another part of the society.

Actually, I'm really looking forwards to it. The commute is going to be a pain but over all things could be alot worse. Almost everything is ready, I'm sorting out the last few details and I think my DA account will benifit if only because I will have more structure in my day. That means I might actually get some stuff done instead of remaining dead for several weeks.

Still, I am worrying about them considering how daft they're being about me joining up. They sent the wrong paper work to the wrong person and then asked me why I hadn't sorted it out. I had but their sy

  • 05/13/08--14:50: A quick Review (chan 2067212)

  • Of Sonic: Unleashed.

Yeah, it's not out yet but I thought I'd do something to update and since I'm tired of saying: nothing much on at the mo; this seemed like a better idea. So here's a quick review on what we've seen so far of Sonic Unleashed.

I won't explain the plot because anyone who's connected to the internet and has even the most remote interest in games will have heard something of the plot. Let's hear it for internet marketing.

    The Good:
    1. SEGA have finally LISTENED to the complaints and gone back to the side scrolling days of yore. Yes, we're back to the angle Sonic did best with and having seen some of the first game pl

  • 05/16/08--15:22: For Mina-chu (chan 2067212)

  • I went to a concert last night. It was called Manic Organic. Mainly due to the fact that every act involved the electric organ.

That is, one of those huge things that vampires play, wired up to the mains and built into the wall. Yeah, I can't really say that wasn't very cool.

I enjoyed the second and third acts as they were done by the same group and they were absolutly amazing! They translated pop songs for the organ. So you had music from the movie Braveheart done on the organ which was just fun. I want them to do 'Smoke on the Water'. That rift at the beginning on one of those things would be freakin' awesome!

    First and final acts

  • 05/22/08--13:23: I Just Want To Remember (chan 2067212)

  • This quiet moment.

Now, as some of you may or may not know, last weekend was the FA Cup Final day. To those who know me well, it will come as a surprise that I take any interest in this event given my dislike of football in general and utter loathing of the FA (Football Association).

Why do I mark this moment in my calendar? Because it means that the football leagues are finally over. It has been two whole glorious days of quiet without any rubbish on TV or radio beginning with the words: and now the latest football results.

QUIET! Peace from this moronic, constant stream of barking over a ball and a bunch of guys! No more do I have

  • 06/01/08--13:12: Sonic Quiz (chan 2067212)

  • I found this around DA from :iconchibi-jen-hen: , I think. It's a fun little quiz about Sonic characters and since right now I'm too tired to really work out how my life is going. I thought I'd post it.

    1. Who is your favourite Sonic character?
    Tails

    2. And why do you like him/her?
Mainly because he has a lot of redeeming features. Sonic I find very arrogant. But Tails still has a lot of naivety and I can believe he's only eleven (or whatever age SEGA claim he is). The fact he can build different ways to blow stuff up adds points.

    3. Who is your 2nd favourite?
    Knuckles.

    4. And why?
He has some great lines and takes on other c

  • 06/11/08--14:33: A lack of energy (chan 2067212)

  • has left me without the ability to come up with a half way decent title it seems. My update once a day didn't go well but considering I've reached a point of having trouble keeping my eyes open most days I think it went better than I thought it would.

I'm still getting used to work but it is fun and I enjoy it. Messed up a bit today but I didn't do too badly and I've learnt from it. One key lesson I learnt today was make damn sure that the tailor takes EVERY pin out of your jacket before you put it back on. That should give you an idea of how tired I am.

However, rather than prattle on about something everyone in the known universe has

  • 07/16/08--12:59: Laugh? I nearly bust something! (chan 2067212)

  • Okay, anyone else here been watching the new seiries called Bonekickers on the BBC? It's all about this crew of archeaologists who solve odd finds. Nice idea and as a trained archeaologist myself I was keen to see where it went.
I haven't laughed so hard since the cat tried to get into the gueanie pig cage and nearly shreaded itself trying! It was the most silly load of tosh I've seen in years! And this is from the same people who made Life on Mars!

First episode, they found some strange coins. These coins turned out to have been from a pitched battle takeing place in the UK when the Templar Knights were whiped out. The Templar Knights n

  • 08/01/08--14:46: Save me Ame-chan! (chan 2067212)

  • Okay, I am having a week of it so I'm going to rant about it here. I just need to rant right now so you might want to skip the whole 'I'm feeling sorry for myself right now' bit.

Go to the divider line. Okay? This will have strong lanuage in it. You've been warned.

So. Monday. I get into work and find myself on one of the posts I enjoy. It's always busy and you get to meet people. Keeps things interesting and makes the day go faster. It also makes me feel useful which I enjoy. But does everyone remember how freakin' hot it was monday?
I do because I was directing people as you do on that post when I suddenly felt very sick, like I was

    AMECON! HERE WE COME!
Those of you who'll be at the con I'll see you there. Those who have other cons or otherwise, have fun too!

I'll try and post photos and the like here when I get back. I lost last years (the dork that I am) so I'll try and make sure to have the right stuff this year.

    See you in a week!

  • 08/31/08--12:10: Poseable Roadkill (chan 2067212)

  • Yeah, I know it's late but I got back from the con (which was ABSOLUTLY BRILLIANT!! I HAVEN'T HAD SO MUCH FUN IN AGES!!) and I've been back in work since.

The con was huge fun and the socail side was really strong. My bank now own my life after the amount I spent but I love every single plushie, model and manga book I bought.

I was one of the few who managed to get in to see the Omake, it was  FREAKIN' HILLARIUS! Seiously! To all those who took part in that, you have my deepest thanks and admeration! I laughed, I listened and I saw Table-chan. After Chair-chan, it was inevitable.

  • 09/28/08--07:38: Work (chan 2067212)

  • Is giving me a right kicking at the momment so I haven't been on much. I am here, it's just finding the time and the energy.
Man, I'm getting board of this job. It's fun but there is no room to progress and the commute is killing me. I can't afford to move closer because they don't pay me enough, there's very little room for promotion so I can't get more money to move so I'm stuck with a commute of an hour and a half every freaking morning. Joy.
Aaaannyway, I'm going to look for a new career, one which makes money and won't leave me hating people so much. Once again this is cutting into my net time but I will try to keep up with the update

  • 11/04/08--12:48: Life and a little Diva. (chan 2067212)

  • Yeah, I'm still here. It might not seem like it but I am.
Life has been hitting me hard lately, not only with work but other stuff.
Yes, this will be a bit of a complaint and I don't expect anyone to read it. But I need to say this stuff somewhere and since I'm not part of MySpace, I thought I'd type here.
Skip the next few paragraphs if you really don't want to hear me whine.

  • 11/17/08--10:43: Back Online! (chan 2067212)

  • So after my last entry, my computer stars making this really (and I mean REALLY) loud beeping noise. Now, my speakers were off so it means it's comeing from INSIDE the computer itself. Not a great thing to happen really and a bit worrying. So I waited to see if it would ga away, I did the useal checks: memory, viruis, fire wall, etc. All checked out fine.
I try coming on DA, the noise becomes close to constant and it takes five seconds to close a window.
Now, having checked with the company who supplied my computer I know that ANY problem is likely to cost £300. I'm not paying that until the thing is in seious trouble so struggling t

  • And if you don't get the pun, go listen to Maddona until your ears bleed.
So a few days ago :iconmoonbunny27: left a note on my page saying how she'd just tagged me. I've probably been tagged before but never for a quiz to my knowledge. So I might as well get some of these tags out the way. I know I owe a couple.

    1. Post these rules.
    2. Each tagged person must post 8 things about themselves on their journal. (I thought that was the point of the Journal.)
    3. At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal. (I don't know that many people. Will four do?)
    4. Go to their pages and send them a message

  • Well, I'm off for a while to have some fun in the sun. When I return, there will be many photos to annoy you all with. I'm off the Eygpt for a holiday! WHEEEE!
I am so looking forward to this. For once, I can be the annoying tourist and tick off the tour guides. No more of my work colleges for a while. They are lovely people but most of them have never heard of Google before. Giving that I am addicted to the internet this makes my humour difficult to translate. I don't have to try and join in with politics for a while! EEEEEEEEE!!!
No more stupid alarm getting me up at 6am for one whole week!! I can sleep!!

  • 12/16/08--12:18: Places I've been to: (chan 2067212)

  • This will be a long one so skip if you don't have the time.

    So far I've travelled to:
    Italy
    France
    America (twice)
    Australia
    Belgium
    Turkey
    Norway
    and now Eygpt.

I had a WONDERFUL time. The weather was gorgeous. Temprature in the 20s, warm sunshine, soothing breeze, delicous meals on the boat and some of the greatest building works of the ancient past. We had to get up early each day which was kind of annoying but given how hot it got during the middle of the day this wasn't too bad. We basicly slept from mid-day onwards until fourish.

Cairo was interesting and scary at the same time. The traffic was dreadful but the pyramids

  • 12/24/08--06:50: Christmas (chan 2067212)

  • To everyone who watches me, my friends and family, may you all have a very Merry Christmas with everything you wish for and diserve.
I'm feeling better (the cold is beginning to die) and I've finished off Sonic Chronicals to discover a most welcome suprise. You can play through the game a second time with your characters at the levels you got them at when you finished it the first time round. >:)
Ah, I can enjoy the utter distruction of bosses that almost killed my party and used up every scrap of my funds to beat the first time round. Yes, I am very happy.
Enjoy the day and the gifts and I'll see you all soon!

  • 01/01/09--12:32: Compusery 2009 Journal (chan 2067212)

  • It is the 1st of January so I should probably sit down a type an update.

So, 2009 is now upon us and I STILL want to know where the heck 2006 went to. I know about 2007 because it gave me such a kicking that I remember it well. I find it interesting that I had a terrible year 2007 and alot of the artists I watch had a dreadful 2008. Well, it's over now.

2008 was a year of picking myself up in many ways. 2007 left alot of problems to deal with. None of them were particually pleasent and I'll be feeling some of the effects of that year this year too but 2008 gave me the chance to get up and try again.

At the end of 2007 I left one job

  • 01/07/09--11:05: Give a little help. (chan 2067212)

  • I know, I know. I promised something diffrent for this journal but I am absolutly shattered. I've been outside all day and just driven back through heavy snow on very busy roads for over an hour. I am cold, hungry and fed up.
However there will always be some in the world who suffers more than you as a DA artist I've watched for a while has recently shown:

  • I was thinking about calling this 'Teh Pimping Journal' in hounor of friends from university but decided that was too much.

Yes! I have returned thanks to the magical power of chocolate and clawing back sleep from work which runs my life! Never doubt the awsome power of sugar!

Never the less, we now have a journal of really fun videos I have found on the web and wish to share with you all!

  • 01/29/09--09:26: Absolutly Shattered. (chan 2067212)

  • For those who don't know what shattered means, it's another way of saying very tired or utterly spent. Which is pretty much how I'm feeling right now. Nothing much has changed it's just life catching up with me and my energy levels are shot. So let's make this short.

Okay, new announcment on DA. If you get a message from me or anyone saying: rofl. This might be good for your interests. DO NOT TOUCH IT! I may well have got the wording wrong but it's a nasty little virus. The words appear as a link and say pretty much the same as the sentence I've put up but it is a virus. As far as anyone can tell it doesn't do anything except copy itself a

  • 02/06/09--14:08: Strange Snow (chan 2067212)

  • So it began snowing in the UK this week. Made a nice change from credit this, that and the other all over the news but it has been a fairly surreal time for me.

On Monday I looked out the window and saw two to three inches of snow in the garden. Now I live in one of the furthest south points of the country and I cannot remember a single time I ever saw that amount of snow, even when I lived further north.

It meant that I couldn't get into work thanks to the snow causing heaven knows how many accidents so I took the day off in favor of staying safe. Then when the weather warmed up a bit and things looked better I went back to work but I

  • 04/10/09--10:02: STILL ALIVE!! (chan 2067212)

  • But things just keep racing along with me hanging on for the ride. Since my last update the following has happened:

    1. Got my car back (YIPPEE!) only to discover that the body shop hadn't fixed everything they'd charged us for. I have a description for them but it's not really legal.

    2. My computer of three years finnaly said finito and died. Hard. So I had a choice. Pay for a new one or have major surgery done on the old one. I went for opption two. This means I now have a brand new super computer to play with! (YIPPEEE!) It has none of my old settings, programs, software, trashed my favorites, trashed my iPod libary, my art program, m

  • 04/21/09--14:46: Where did all this rubble come from? (chan 2067212)

  • Right, the back of my house. Don't worry, the UK hasn't had any weather systems that bad, we're just having a new room added to the house. But it does mean alot of bangs and machines stuck around the place.

I had :iconvenuslove: and :iconSetsunasLittleAngel: over on Monday (I'll find the correct spelling and update my journal once I know I'll get the right icon). That was fun! We need to get together more often and just chill out. Next time we should try for a meal. Even if it's just pizza or something.

  • Weird mix of subjects but I've been meaning to get this posted even if it is old.
This is to those guys we leave behind, those who are the truly good guys who disserve way more love than they get.

To every guy that's said, "Sex can wait."

To every guy that's said, "You're BEAUTIFUL."

To every guy that was never too busy to drive across town (or across the state) to see her.

To every guy that gives flowers and a card when she is sick.

To every guy who has given her flowers just because.

To every guy that said he would die for her.

To every guy that REALLY would.

  • 07/01/09--11:20: Summer Fun? (chan 2067212)

  • I have been around, I've just been struggling to keep up with everything.

The summer heat is making it so hard to think straight and the building work on our house isn't helping. I got home from work today feeling part baked from the heat to discover that someone had left a load of plaster on my bed. So I had to drag out the vaccum, get it upstairs and clean my bed so that I can sleep in it tonight with only the insects and heat to bother me rather than sharp little bits of chemicals.

Yeah. I'm not in a good mood. I'm just so tired plus my job search has stalled again. Mainly because I'm heading on holiday come the end of this month (T

  • 07/18/09--15:30: Once upon a time (chan 2067212)

  • On a morning the 20th of July, four people left this world behind for the stars. When they got to our nearest neighbour, two went to the surface and landed. Even when the computers told them not to do it, they still made the jump to the unknown and landed on the moon.
While they were standing there, leaving behind footprints that will last a thousand years, one of them saw our planet rise over the horizen. It was a perfect jewel. As soft and delicate as a bubble yet filled with life, strength and unimaginable power. He held out his hand so that it seemed to cover the Earth and realised that over a billion people were under his palm at that s

  • 10/03/09--12:08: Badly Needed Update (chan 2067212)

  • Because I want to prove I'm not dead yet.

Okay. So what's happened since my last update? Well, I went to France for two wonderful weeks and I've made a personal promise to myself not to take my unfishished cosplays with me on holiday ever again. France was lovely though. I'd forgotten how nice it is to just kick back and sleep with a wonderful meal waiting at the end of the day.

Then when I came back I went to Ayacon as you can probably tell from all the pictures. That was huge fun! I've been collecting videos of it from around Youtube. Let's see...

Oh! Here's a good one! Extreem Cosplay bout one! A pile of cheep matterials, sissors

  • 10/21/09--03:51: Quest and TV (chan 2067212)

  • It's the best title I could come up with.

Okay, so, what's been happening since I last updated? Quite alot. I got sick for a week and I'm still recovering it seems. It wasn't swine flu but I still ended up going to see a specalist. I am better though. I just need to take it easy and get back itno the flow of things.

Work is much the same but people are staring to ask me for things. Someone saw me knitting my dad a hat last year and now they want scarves, soft toys and other stuff from me. I've had to say no until I've completed a load of other stuff though. I have something like six to eight projects on at the momment which I need to f

  • 12/16/09--14:55: We Wish You A Merry Christmas (chan 2067212)

  • And a Happy New Year!
Yes, I know I seem dead on the DA front at the moment but life has been very busy lately.
I got the parts for my computer upgrade! Now I only have to transfure five years of photos, images, iTunes, pictures, unfinshed pictures that are partly coloured, writings, favorites, videos and odd stuff that's been floating around the hardrive for way too long.
    ...
Looks like my Christmas is booked. Damn. I'm also coming down sick with my dad's cold. I only just got over the Octber illness! Urg... this winter has been one illness after another. Oh well, I will hopefully get better soon.
I'll have the Christmas presents up on

  • 12/20/09--12:22: Best! Christmas! EVER!!!! (chan 2067212)

  • Well, maybe that's a little OTT but I am just so happy right now!! Why? Because Rage Against the Machine are the UK Christmas Number One!

I'll explain that sentance now. As most know, every week or so there is a chart countdown were the top selling songs of a particular country are listed. In the UK we had a bit of a problem this year. It was called the X Factor.

The winner of this contest and Simmon 'I am such a flipping prima donna' Cowell decided that they would make this year's number one spot. Now, I realise I don't have ALL of the information on this but as I understand it, Simon basicly came out and said he was going to buy the n

  • 04/01/10--15:49: I don't celebrate April Fools Day (chan 2067212)

  • Really, I don't. I guess I never saw the point of it. I'm all for laughing at yourself when you make a mistake but deliberately trying to make someone look foolish? Meh. Maybe I just don't a good sense of humour. But there are some good ones. Check out the Guardian news paper April Fools Day story! I've been laughing about it all day!

  • 09/29/10--14:20: I'm not dead! (chan 2067212)

  • Just really, REALLY busy.

As some of my watchers know, I've been working on a Sonic fan comic which is currently going up. The next page IS on the way, in fact it's done, I just need to scan it and get the script sorted. Unfortunetly it has taken a bit of back seat lately as I have actually managed to get some comissions from people at work. I've no idea why they've asked me (I've told them about DA often enough) but they want me to do some work for them. As a result, I've let the comic take a back seat but I will update it as soon as possible.

Other things that have been keeping me busy include a Pokemon tournament I organised this su

  • 12/31/10--14:34: Bye 2010, Hello 2011 (chan 2067212)

  • It's New year, it had to be done.

Well, what can I say about 2010? Nothing. It sounds harsh but it's true. 2010 was one big pause for me. I'm still trying to get out of my current job and find a new one, I'm still living in my current home, I'm still working on my comics and writing, all in all nothing has really changed for me.
Well, that's not true. One thing has changed for me. I've realised that I've been standing still. I won't go into details but something snapped earlier this year. Something emotional and it showed me just how stuck I've become. I've now begun to move forward. It feels like I have to wade through drying concreat th

  • 02/21/11--02:11: I'm-a goin' ta ground. (chan 2067212)

  • Poor title, I know but it's the best I can come up with at the momment. So, here's the latest thing to have happened to me:
I bought a brand new computer. I'm using it right now to update this but there's a fault with it. I'm not sure what that fault is but its being a pain and after the amount I forked out for this thing that's a BIG problem.
They're recalling the units so I need to move everything back over to my old computer which has finally begun the slow decent into death after five years of loyal service. So yes, basicly my internet access is looking bad. As is my art program, my scanner, printer and everything else. Turns out my sca

  • 06/15/11--02:23: Because Updates should be more than once a year. (chan 2067212)

  • Yes. I know. I need to update more. But life has been really busy lately. I can't believe how much stuff I have to do! It seems like I've managed to book my summer solid! That's not a bad thing since I'm looking forward to all of it, just supriing that I've got so much to do and had it all opffered to me in so short a time.

    Let's see, what's worth updating?

    Ah. Comic.
Okay! I've gone back to an old trick I used to use with comic projects (yes i have done one or two before many years ago) and it means I'm nearly done drawing and inking the last five pages. Once this is done I will colour like crazy and have the rest of it up before the

  • 10/06/11--14:09: Much needed update (chan 2067212)

  • As most people are aware, updates to my journal are rare. Mainly because I either never remember or can't think what to say. So what's new with me? Er...

Oh! I've gone back to school! It's an evening class on Japanese language for beginners. Or, as I like call it: Japanese for Complete Muppets. It's a really good class but I am well aware of my attention span which gets low when I'm tired. Still, I've wanted to learn Japanese for a few years now. In some ways that sums up my attitude at the moment. I'm done with waiting. Getting a new job will not necessarily be the solution to all my woes. I'll get rid of my hellish commute but it won mak

  • ...and it gave me flu. I mean enough flu to knock me flat for three days. Yeah... On the plus side I am now hopefully immune to swine flu which was important given the high number of people who cough and sneeze on me at work and put tickets in their mouths and expect me to tear them with a smile on their face like it doesn't matter that they've just drooled all over the things because heven knows it not as if I want to stay healthy or anything ohsweetcheesewhatitts WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! • 11/18/11--04:28: They want to 'censor' the internet. Please read. (chan 2067212)

  • Okay. So I'm surfing the net (as I'm still sick) and I log on to Channel Awsome as I normally do.

    And I find this:

    http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/33243-top-11-reasons-he-wont-review-digimon

Now, for those who have trouble with the vids on Channel Awsome, this was a page with two vids explaining a new bill going through the House of Congress in America. As I understand it, at its core this bill will mean that Hollywood and other US entertainment companies will be able to suie/starve and flat out KILL ANY SITE which THEY feel is bretching copyright.
    Now, ordinaraly I wouldn't worry

  • 12/31/11--14:33: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! (chan 2067212)

  • And on time for once! YAY!

So, what to say about 2011? Hm. I guess its been the year I began to heal. I don't talk about it here, mainly because its complicated and there's enough complaining on the internet but four years ago something happened to me that set me on the path for emotional hell. Well, okay, alot of somethings happened to me that set me up for a fall. Two years ago an event happened that let the whole lot out and I broke mentally. It wasn't as serious breakdown (thank goodness) but it hurt. It still hurts. But, it doesn't hurt as much as it once did. I'm starting to move forward again. Its tough and I know this isn't going t
